Description
The Ortler made by Mila is a semi-hard cut cheese, produced in Trentino-Alto Adige with pasteurized cow's milk, aged for 9 weeks. Here it is sold in the 2.7 kg form, must be consumed within 9 weeks and stored in the refrigerator. It is a slightly spicy cheese, but with a delicate aroma, with a particular and characteristic flavor. It originates from the highest mountain peak in the South Tyrolean Alps. It has an irregular and inedible brown rind. The paste is light yellow, with irregular holes. It has a slightly crumbly texture, suitable for cutting. It does not contain ingredients or raw materials deriving from Genetically Modified Organisms, according to current legislation EC Regulation n. 1829/2003 and EC Regulation n. 1830/2003 and subsequent amendments.
